Jess & George's summer blessing.

Jess & George absolutely love being in the countryside and wanted their wedding blessing to reflect their love of the outdoors. So no bridal shoes for jess, she was happy with bare feet and wellies for the bridesmaids. After a little drizzly start to the day the sun shone for her arrival, perfect!

There was a handmade table for their ceremony made by George, afternoon tea for the guests & a sign telling everyone to enjoy the day with their phones turned off.

As Jess and her mom are both child minders there were many happy bridesmaids to walk her down the terrace aisle and sprinkle petals for her arrival.

I love all the images of Jess and George's special day, the one above is possibly my favorite, I'm looking forward to putting their album together with them.

Such a great day for a lovely couple, family and friends. Here's what Jess had to say when she saw her images:
Jenny, the photos are amazing and beyond our expectations, you have captured our day perfectly and we are over the moon, Thank you so much xx

Summer 2016 Wedding Photography by Jenny

So it's back to school for my teacher friends and of course for my fab little man Lewis x It also means that the weather is changing, Autumn is coming along and with it some beautiful backdrops for photography. Spring & Autumn are my favourite months, as the seasons change so do all the colours of the trees and leaves and the sunlight is so much softer too.

As you can probably guess I'm looking forward to my Autumn weddings but now is a good time to look back on the busy, busy summer months. I've had some absolutely beautiful settings for weddings this summer, all wedding venues make a great effort with their grounds and gardens although it can be nice to go for a walk in a field or down a lane too. Here's a selection of my favourite images from my recent weddings, I hope you like them x

Ashley & Colette's spring wedding.

Ashley & Colette married at St Laurences Church in Alvechurch and celebrated at the gorgeous Gorcott Hall in Redditch. It was a beautiful spring day with plenty of sunshine to enjoy Gorcott Hall's gardens. After meeting at college 9 years ago Ashley proposed in style while they were away on his parents boat.
When it came to choosing her wedding dress Colette tells me:
I went dress shopping with my mum and chief bridesmaid Emma after trying on a few dresses i chose the first one i tried on, that was the winning dress.

Ashley used to do some work at Gorcott Hall and always loved the place, when i first went to visit i loved it to, it was the only place we saw and knew that we wanted our wedding there.

Gorcott Hall is a stunning venue with beautiful grounds. The little lake is ideal for photos later on in the day when the sun is lower giving a gorgeous orange glow.

I asked Colette which photos she particularly liked, it was great to read her reply:
I love the natural shots of people and them arriving at the church, i love the ones of us by the lake and ofcourse the ones of the boys.
And her advice for any brides planning their big day:My advice to anyone planning their wedding is to just enjoy it, and not to get worried about all the details, it all comes together in the end.

There was a special speech from Joshua which had the whole room smiling and in tears at the same time.

and no wonder:
You look so pretty Mummy and Daddy you look handsome too.
What a lovely day this is for us and the both of you.
Today you were married and we wanted to say, we are so excited to be part of your big day.
You know we love you Mummy and Daddy, you know that from the start,
And today on this special day love comes straight from the heart.

Colette couldn't choose her favourite part of the day but said:
I cant pick a best time of the day as i loved every minute of it, although when Joshua did his speech which was a surprise that was amazing and made me so proud.

And the final say on their day goes to Colette:
I would like to thank both our family's for their help and support they have given us and also my mum and Emma (chief bridesmaid) for all the help in putting all the finishing touches together for the day to make it as wonderful as it was.

My wedding photography captures the emotions of your special day in a natural and relaxed way. I have had the pleasure of working at some of the most stunning wedding venues in Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the Midlands.
